Jean-Baptiste organizes a week-end retreat in a temple near Suzhou (1h30 from Shanghai) from May 20th to May 22nd 2016. Departure on Friday evening, return on Sunday evening.
This training is open to beginners and advanced.

During this weekend retreat, we will learn the eight movements of BaDuanJin 八段锦.
This qigong was first mentioned in a book of the Song Dynasty (12th century AD) : Record of the Listener – Selection of Chinese Supernatural Stories (夷坚志). Later, during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the standing form became very popular and had already been formed into a complete health-enhancing routine.
We will learn the standing practice of NeiGong BaDuanJin内功八段锦which combines static posture, meditation and dynamism. NeiGong Baduanjin is a soft approach focusing on the spine and the use of inner power (neigong) to do the movements. It helps cultivate the vital energy with body and mind, reinforces muscles, tendons and organs, and enhances circulation of qi in the body. This practice is beneficial in case of back problems, stress and sub-health state. Some medical studies also demonstrated positive effects on insomnia and depression.
We will learn all the movements step by step in order to memorize them and understand the most important points to practice in a good way. At the end of the weekend, you will be able to follow this practice in a smooth way and be able to feel peace in your heart and your mind.

Experience a different weekend in temple, learn Chinese Ancient Qigong as a therapy , Tailor your practice.
Live according to the temple regular life for 2 days and 2 nights.
